The Barack Obama Investigation Has Been Officially Opened
As reported by Politico, Republican members of the House oversight committee have started a huge investigation into whether or not the Obama administration, in attempting to arrange a nuclear deal and prisoner swap with Iran a year ago, undermined a U.S. counterproliferation attempt to prevent the development of Iranian weapons trafficking networks.
We are all aware that this deal was awful to high heaven. Now we know for sure that it was even worse than we thought. If any liberal still has doubts about if there were massive crimes in the name of this deal, the latest investigation ought to disabuse them of their unreasonable notions.
In a letter, Republican Reps. Jason Chaffetz and Ron DeSantis requested from Attorney General Jeff Sessions to deliver Justice Department documents they said would certainly “help the Committee in better understanding these issues.”
The same letter was sent to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson asking for all of the related documents to the Iran deal in the State Department’s ownership.
Chaffetz has assigned both officials with a May 19 deadline to present one copy of them to the committee Republicans, and an additional one to committee Democrats.
Chaffetz also told the officials, “please also make your staff available for a briefing on these issues no later than May 25.”
Chaffetz expects details on a January 16, 2016 prisoner exchange arrangement with Iran and info, “for whom any enforcement activity was modified or cancelled in connection with the swap, and indicate the activity taken and how it was modified or cancelled.” And for, “any Iranian national or entity investigated for, charged with, or convicted of engaging in violations of export controls, terrorism, arms sales, nonproliferation, money laundering, or other monetary criminal activity, from January 1, 2013, to the present.”
13 Senators signed and agreed upon a letter to the authorities who support Chaffetz. The letter states: “We write to demand for your help in providing Congress with more info relating to the Obama Administration’s decision to drop the charges or convictions in the 21 cases.
Based upon new reports, we are worried that President Obama and a number of former administration officials purposely suppressed the importance of the charges against these individuals in order to get public support for the nuclear deal with Iran, and we are concerned that these individuals may still present a risk to the national security and safety of the United States.” Time is passing by and Chaffetz will get himself to the bottom level of this. Don’t ignore that Jason has a secret weapon, Trey Gowdy is also on the committee investigating Obama. That needs to scare him.
