Just a couple of days ago, it was reported that Steven W. Chase, a 58-year-old man from the Naples, Florida and owner of PlayPen, which is a Dark Web website that is hosting child porn, was sent to prison for 30 years. Now, it emerged that the Michael Angelo Savinelli, 49, a restaurant owner from Florida who was arrested back on November 17, 2016, after law enforcement authorities found highly explicit images of children after searching his personal computer.
He was given a six third-degree felony charges, but on further review of those pictures, Savinelli is now going to face additional 70 felony charges for this possessing of child pornographic content.
These additional charges according to the Monroe County State Attorney’s Office are now a result of authorities finding 69 more of those pictures and a video showing his sexual conduct with the underage children as young as 5. Further, the authorities also found “multiple” videos and images of “preadolescent females in explicit poses” showing their genitalia and involved in various sex acts. The girls in them had a “child-like features, child-sized legs, arms, torso, and abdomen…”
If convicted, Savinelli may serve upto 1,140 years in state prison.
The Miami Herald reports that Savinelli has accepted this keeping of child explicit content on his computer and also revealed that “he would go into various chat rooms and other people would send him these child pornography, and sometimes he would send the child pornography to other people. He also stated he did not know any of those people in the chat rooms” and also “admitted there might be several videos and images” of child porn on his computer.”
Savinelli is the owner of the Keys’ most famous restaurant “The Hurricane Bar & Grille.” However, he is now facing a very long time behind bars.
