Woman Campaigns To Open The ‘World’s First Vagina Museum’ In London

These days, there are museums dedicated to just about everything, including penises. There is, however, not a single one dedicated to vaginas, yet. 

YouTuber Florence Schechter is on a campaign to open the ‘world’s first’ Vagina Museum in London. 

Schechter says that vaginas “are not talked about enough” and that is contributing to an overall lack of understanding about women’s anatomy. She points out that there is no physical space wholly dedicated to vaginas and the people who have them. Furthermore, only half of the women in Britain were able to accurately label a vagina on a diagram. 

In her promo video, she explains how the museum will include free exhibitions on the science of the vagina, the history, and its place in pop culture. She acknowledges that it might be a while before she has her project up and running, but in the meantime she has got plenty of vagina-themed events in store. Schechter intends to host comedy nights, classes and workshops, all centered around female anatomy.
